So THAT Happened In Nashville
In Ryan Miller’s first game back from injury, the Sabres were up 2-0 (Luke Adam, Zack Kassian) when this malarkey happened:
Then this happened:
And here’s the video:
The Sabres followed that up by mauling every Predator who so much as poked at Miller’s glove, including Christian Ehrhoff playing out of character and horse collar tackling Patric Hornqvist to the ice. It may be standard fare in other cities, but Sabres fans have been pulling their hair out for years over the lack of back-up Miller has received after getting drilled. Of course the ultimate goal every hockey game is to win but the Sabres’ response to Miller getting hit in his return was, in context, even more crucial. Maybe the days of Ryan Miller fending for himself are over at the foot of Washington Street.
The Sabres would hold on to win 3-2 with Tyler Ennis’ first goal serving as the game-winner.
