No Need For RTs, Here’s A Who’s Who Of Twitter Pundits
It was last off-season, or maybe two off-seasons ago, that Heather from Top Shelf proposed we all agree not to retweet Darren Dreger anymore because we all follow him anyways and the RTs clog up our feeds. The response was one of unanimous compliance. This morning, Bill Hoppe from the Olean Times Herald had tweeted that Montador was back in for Butler and it happened again – a cavalcade of RTs from a guy all of us follow clogging up feeds left and right.
So without further ado, here is the debut of my Sabres Must-Follows list! Featuring Mike Harrington from The Buffalo News, Bill Hoppe from the Olean Times-Herald, Dave Davis from Kukla’s Korner, Paul Hamilton from WGR550, a couple of guys from WKBW’s sports desk and more, it’s got everyone you need to follow for breaking news regarding line-up changes, call-ups, trades, and the pending sale of the Sabres to Terry Pegula. No need for an avalanche or retweets ever again!
It also seemed like a good time to bring back my old NHL Experts list under a new name – Hockey Experts! Inside are all the accounts from the Twitter-savvy staffers of Hockey Night in Canada, TSN’s hockey department, Rogers SportsNet, Puck Daddy, ESPN’s hockey department, The Fourth Period, and a smattering of other writers from The Globe & Mail, Pro Hockey Talk, USA Today, and more. The addition of USA Hockey diehard Chris Peters, stalwart media reporter Steve Lepore, and the guys from Yahoo!’s Buzzing The Net junior hockey blog forced a name change.
So there you go, Sabres fans – a couple of lists to follow that will have you set for life. Of course, these are fluid lists so I’ll be tweaking them as needed for maximum usability.
