Preseason Preview, Game Four – Sabres at Canadiens

Holy moly, the Sabres beat the Senators. It’s only September, but still. Next up is Les Habitants and their newly-named captain – Brian Gionta, the Rochester Rocket. Something to be aware of is that is listing this game as “Subject to local blackout restrictions”, which means MSG is flexxing its’ muscle again and Sabres fans will have to resort to pirated Internet feeds to see the game.

Jochen Hecht-Tim Connolly-Jason Pominville
Nathan Gerbe-Luke Adam-Mark Mancari
Matt Ellis-Paul Byron-Mark Parrish

Canadiens Roster
(via Fred Poulin)

Pouliot – Gomez – Gionta
Pyatt – Eller – Kostitsyn
Darche – Halpern – Lapierre
Maxwell – Boyd – White

Spacek – Subban
Picard – Weber
Henry – O’Bryne

Keep An Eye On…
That Spacek-Subban pairing. High offense d-pairs usually cough up the puck and get caught.

Nathan Gerbe. If he plays tonight how he’s played all preseason, he’s going to continue to make that starting job more likely.
