Weekly Round-Up, September 19
It’s my first Weekly Round-Up! Much like Monday Morning Links, I’ll be posting links to stories. Unlike Monday Morning Links, it’s going to focus on post-game reports, injury news, important league stories, and the like. Hit the jump for the linkage!
SABRES EDGE – Team Seymour shines on Day One
John Vogl’s got a recap of the scrimmage that went on yesterday after the jersey unveiling. I missed the third period and shootout, which is why my thoughts of the scrimmage in yesterday’s post do not include those highlights.
SABRES EDGE – Tie on Day Two of scrimmages
John Vogl has an account of today’s scrimmage as well.
MAINE HOCKEY JOURNAL – Gragnani suffers knee injury; out four-to-six weeks
Chris Roy has a piece on Gragnani’s knee injury that takes him out of the camp in which he could’ve proven his NHL worth. It doesn’t just impact the Sabres, as Grags is one of Portland’s lead blueliners.
ICETHETICS – Sabres Debut New Uniforms!
The overlord of NHL uniform rumors and news has a post up detailing the Sabres’ new uniform set with plenty of comments from his readers. Seems like the majority of the posts fall under two umbrellas: either hating the numbering and name plate on the third jerseys or hating the piping on the home and away jerseys. Some hate both. Enough hating, people – we should be united in our joy that the Slug is dead!
