Black & Blue & Gold is finally back in the smartphone app business!
Powered by Conduit Mobile, Black & Blue & Gold’s new app combines the site’s numerous features into one attractive app for your mobile device or Internet browser.
BBG v1.0 features the site’s RSS feed and both the links-only and Philip’s Twitter accounts. Future versions will feature segmented RSS feeds, the BBG crew Twitter list, the BBG Radio podcast hosted by Podbean, and the BBG TV YouTube channel.
The app comes in three formats – native mobile app, web mobile app, and desktop app. BBG the native app is currently available for Android and Windows Phone. The iPhone, iPad, and Blackberry native apps will be available at a later date. BBG the web app is available now for Android, Windows Phone, iPhone, and iPad. The Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari (via the Conduit Community Toolbar), and Chrome desktop apps will be available at a later date.
There are numerous methods to downloading the BBG app. For your mobile device, you can point either your computer or mobile browser to http://blackbluegold.mobapp.at/, scan the QR code at the top of the sidebar with Google Goggles or a similar app, or you can direct download the archives from the below links.

For the desktop app, you must first install the Conduit Community Toolbar (as prompted by your browser, sans Chrome, when clicking the “+Add To Browser” button). You would then search for “BBG” in the Conduit Marketplace (URL – apps.conduit.com/). Again, BBG will be available as a browser app/extension at a later date. DISCLAIMER: BBG does not endorse using the Conduit (or any, for that matter) toolbar, as some users have reported that it hijacks their browser. Caveat emptor.
