Vulgar Opinions: Senators @ Sabres (3-16-13) Stars and Black Holes

We can say with certainty that time passed.  Whether hockey was played is a different story.

Stars:

1. Cody Hodgson - Not that either goal was overly impressive, just the kind of right place right time intelligent play you want.  Makes me really hope he figures out the defense.
2. Steve Ott - Probably the only Sabre that has been consistently fun to watch.
3. None.

Unsung Hero:

• None.

The Robert Wade Niedermayer Memorial Black Holes:

1. Jason Pominville - Shut up.  The opening goal was 100% your fault.
2. Jason Pominville - When you watch it on film, I hope you get embarrassed at the soft, weak, shitty play you made with your stick while Ovechkin sidestepped you.  I hope you see it in your sleep.
3. Jason Pominville - That not my fault cop out stuff is something no captain should do, whether it was your fault or not.  Part of being a leader is shouldering burdens so the people under you don’t have to.  Disgraceful.

Unseen Goat:

• Aaaand…Drew Stafford still sucks.
