Hooray!  We’re good at shootouts!

Stars:

1. Jason Pominville – Two goals, six shots, shootout tally, 23:43 of icetime.
2. Cody Hodgson – With his offensive talents and defensive liabilities, he might feature most often on both sides of this list.
3. Ryan Miller – Another solid effort in a game in which it looked like he sucked because of the defense.

Unsung Hero:

• Steve Ott, Patrick Kaleta, and Nathan Gerbe - The Sabres’ pests were a major factor.

The Robert Wade Niedermayer Memorial Black Holes:

1. Drew Stafford - Do something Drew.  Do something.
2. Tyler Ennis - Lost behind Cody Hodgson’s terrible defensive play is Tyler Ennis’s oft terrible defensive play.  Has a habit of watching the defense and completely losing track of the third guy low.
3. Jason Pominville - Going to put him on both sides she he was as bad defensively today as he was good.
