I realized thanks to Phil that I’ve been lax in explaining these in recent weeks. The premise is simple, I rank each team in points, goals for per game, goals allowed per game, power play, and penalty kill and then sum those rankings. As the season progresses, I weight points more and more because that becomes an ever truer representation of a team’s overall talent. Here you go:
