Nathan Gerbe’s Favorite Feast

Last night, Brian Duff was the third wheel in the Sabres’ broadcast booth along with Kevin Sylvester and Danny Gare. After Nathan Gerbe’s tying goal in response to Frans Nielsen’s opening tally, Duff said – the first of a few times – that Gerbe “has feasted on the Islanders in his career”. While it’s not entirely accurate to describe it as feasting, he does have 5 goals (and 7 points) in 7 games against Nassau Coliseum’s tenants since starting his first full campaign in 2010/2011.
To follow up with the jubilant mood after Saturday’s win that has the team 2-0-1 in its last three, hit the jump to take a look at all of Gerbe’s goals versus the team that gave birth to the playoff beard.

To follow up with this morning’s post about depth, Gerbe is another player that the Sabres need to contribute if they want to be successful. The question remains whether it will be enough to start repairing the damage already done, this late in the season with the hole they’ve already dug.
